The ISCAL, as a public higher education institute, bets on a set of principles that promote good practices, such as inclusion, equality, diversity and the openness and participation of the academic population in social responsibility.

It is in this framework that, concerned with the sustainable development of students, staff and faculty, ISCAL promotes communication initiatives, entered into the  Eco-Schools Programme, which aim at transformations of social, economic and cultural order.
